Support ALS
Greetings everyone,
I certainly hope that all is well! Many of you who are connected to me via social media or have known me for awhile know that when I was just twelve-years-old, my mother passed away at the age of 41, a few months after having been diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) or Lou Gehrig's Disease. In 2014, I did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in her honor and memory and I participated in the Walk to Defeat ALS in Washington, DC in 2014 and 2015. I also shared my story on Facebook of witnessing my mother's rapid decline after her diagnosis in which I just wanted to provide a little education on the disease and its affects and effects.
After learning of my story, one of my fraternity brothers started a team called Bucket Headz, which actually is how I found out about the ALS Walk in DC. With this team, my brother has been raising funds for the walk since 2014. By clicking on the link below, your generous will donation will go directly to the ALS Association and aid in the cause to fund research efforts with hopes of finding a cure for this fatal neuromuscular disease. Please contribute any amount you feel compelled to give. Also check the site for information on upcoming walks and events in your area (DMV). God bless you!!!
